The Fishers Island Yacht Club was founded to encourage yachting and assist members in becoming proficient in such pursuits, to promote social activities among members, and to encourage intellectual contact, the exchange of ideas and the development of common interests with respect to yachting. We welcome applications for membership who share those interests and would like to join our active community.
Members of the Club are entitled to use our facilities, participate in a range of regattas and enjoy social activities and dining events at the Club.
Interested members may contact the Club by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to request an application form. Applicants must be proposed by two members of the club, one acting as the proposer and the other as a seconder.
The FIYC is aware that some well-qualified candidates may be new to the area and may not know current members who can sponsor them. If you are interested in membership and don’t know a potential sponsor, we offer several options to introduce you to the Club and its members and allow us to get to know you. Please contact email@example.com and we will get the process started!
Sponsoring a Member
FIYC members who would like to sponsor a candidate for membership can find the application on the member section of this site. Our Membership Chair, as well as any of the Flag Officers or Board of Governors, would be happy to answer any questions you might have about the application or membership process. You can find their names in the Club Leadership section under the About the Club tab on this website or by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
