The Fishers Island Yacht Club is dedicated to promoting seamanship and the love of sailing—starting with opportunities and lessons for our youngest members and continuing all the way through our eldest. It is never too late to learn or knock the rust off and get back out there.
Our sailing fleet is welcoming of all skill levels—enthusiasm is the only requirement (oh, and a life jacket). We offer instructional programs for juniors as well as clinics and private lessons for adults.
Adult Open Sailing and Seamanship Clinic: W 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm at FIYC
For teen and adult sailors of all ability levels working with our instructors to improve their skills.
Clinics will take place at FIYC in 420s and Bullseyes provided by the program. Max class capacity: 8 persons.
For any questions about classes or inquiries on enrollment, please contact SailingDirector Jonathan Farrar at (305) 720-8572 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
New Adult Bullseye & Dinghy Sailing Clinics
This year, on Saturday mornings we will be holding weekly Bullseye and Dinghy clinics to encourage learning about the club Bullseyes as well as other offerings such as kayaks, paddle boards and various dinghies.
The club Bullseyes will then be available for members to borrow for the Saturday racing series.
The club Bullseyes are available to use from 9-5 PM, July 1 through Labor Day.
You must sign them out in the Marina office.
Members using the boats must follow all safety guidelines and carry a VHF radio and/or cell phone in a dry bag.
